Consumers' Association The Quality of Life (EKPIZO)
EKPIZO was established in 1988 with the aim of protecting consumer rights and improving the quality of life. It is a non governmental, non profit making association with 6,000 members supported by subscription fees and subsidies from the EU or other public institutions. Its policy areas include legal, economic, financial, insurance, health, food, environment, safety and consumer education issues. EKPIZO has a significant experience in Out of Court dispute settlements. EKPIZO has established a national network of over 200 schools in support of their consumer education activities. It coordinated the EU-funded project ‘Young European Consumer Competition’ for 5 years.
