Strengthened partnership with FAO aims to help solve key global Consumer Protection issues on food
Consumers International is delighted to announce a collaborative agreement with the Food & Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) that will aim to work towards safer, more sustainable and equitable food systems for everyone.

The agreement, which will strengthen Consumers International’s existing partnership with the FAO, recognises that consumers around the world can be a powerful force for change towards solving consumer protection issues on food.
As part of this new partnership, Consumers International will be given enhanced access to the FAO’s wealth of knowledge and information on global food systems while FAO will work more closely with our extensive global membership that brings together over 200 consumer organisations in more than 100 countries.
Both organisations will use their global networks to raise consumer awareness around key food issues in relation to areas such as international trade, food labelling and antibiotic resistance.
