Servicio Nacional del Consumidor (SERNAC)

El Servicio Nacional del Consumidor (SERNAC) is the agency of the State of Chile responsible for ensuring the protection of consumer rights established in Law No. 19,496

Its mission is to inform, educate and protect citizen consumers through a technical framework of effectiveness, efficiency and transparency of institutional action and markets, and the responsible, active and participatory role of each of its actors.

The vision of SERNAC is to be leaders in the service to citizenship, and national and international references in the protection, information and education to consumers, strengthening a culture of respect for their rights, monitoring the behavior of companies in the markets and promoting active citizen participation in consumer matters.
