Libyan Competition and Anti-Trust Council

The Libyan Competition and Anti-Trust Council is an independent legal entity with its own financial autonomy. It has regulatory authority over private economic activities, both in production and services, to ensure compliance with competition conditions and consumer protection. The council operates under the supervision of the House of Representatives.

It was established under Article (1292) of Law No. (23) of 2010 concerning commercial activities, as amended by Article (1) of Law No.
(7) of 2023.
