Brazilian Institute of Consumers and Data Holders (IBCTD)
The Brazilian Institute of Consumers and Data Holders (IBCTD) is a civil society organization founded in 2022 in the heart of the Amazon, in the city of Belém, which will host COP 30 in November 2025.
Present in all Brazilian states, IBCTD works to defend consumer rights and protect personal data, recognised for its active participation in various councils and forums of national relevance.
Its main objectives include promoting, developing, and defending the rights of consumers and data holders, as well as educating and informing society on these topics. Since its inception, IBCTD has stood as a strong advocate for consumer rights and privacy. Increasingly it is consulted by government authorities on important decisions that directly affect citizens.
