Organizacija na potrosuvacite na Makedonija (OPM)

Organizacija na potrosuvacite na Makedonija (OPM) was established in 1996 as a non-governmental, non-political and not-for-profit organisation with the aim to make consumer protection effective in Macedonia and fit for the country’s new market conditions. OPM carries out its mission through promoting legal regulation that improve consumer protection; inputting in the formulation of national consumer policy; educating, informing and counseling consumers and representing their interests. As an umbrella organisation, OPM is linked to several local consumer organisations and their network of Consumer Advice Bureaus. Consumers can get free information and advice via the phone or in person as well as through the Internet. OPM has also signed a memorandum of cooperation with some municipalities to help establish Consumers Protection Councils at the municipal level.
