Consumers Foundation Association Inc. of Papua New Guinea

Consumers Foundation Association Inc. of Papua New Guinea (CFA-PNG) is one of the leading organisations for protecting consumers in Papua New Guinea. CFA-PNG is resolute that without the Consumer, there is no economy.

Their purpose is to empower consumers in Papua New Guinea with the knowledge and guidance to participate in the marketplace as an equal to large corporations, governments and other institutions.  

They promote awareness through integration and collaboration with all stakeholders through education, advocacy and provision of legal representation to consumers to ensure products or goods and services offered in the marketplace are safe, meet minimum international standards, provide value for money and are affordable for a sustainable relationship between all sectors.

CFA-PNG aim to hold service providers, businesses and governments accountable and to seek legal redress through representation where necessary, to ensure consumers are treated fairly, safely and honestly. They advocate with the government to seek policy reforms and legislative changes to promote the interest of consumers.
