Site monitoring
Consumers International (CI) does not monitor or collect
information about individual visitors to its site. Site activity is
monitored through the collection of aggregate information only.
CI monitors the following:
- Total number of visits to the site.
- Time spent by users on individual pages.
- Users' country of origin and other top-level domains.
- The download of papers and publications.
Collection of personal information
CI has facilities for site users to register interest in certain
issues and receive relevant information, for example CI
enewsletters.
To enable CI to send users the information they require, the
following information only will be requested:
- name
- surname
- email address.
CI does not use this information in any other way. It does not
sell the information, rent it out or share it with others.
The information is kept only as long as the user wishes to
receive information from CI.
Information lists are updated by CI every time a user subscribes
or unsubscribes to a list. All information about those who
unsubscribe is permanently deleted.
The information is stored in a list database. Access to this
database is restricted and managed by CI's computer support team.
All of CI's systems have high levels of security to prevent
unauthorised access and this is constantly updated.
