WCRD 2011

RED WCRD-date

World Consumer Rights Day (WCRD) 2011 will play a pivotal role in the global Consumers for Fair Financial Services campaign.

Consumers have been getting a bad deal on financial services for too long. Join Consumers International (CI) member organisations around the world on 15 March to demand access to safe, fair and competitive markets in financial services for all.

Bringing WCRD to G20 - CI launches new recommendations

To celebrate WCRD, CI has released a new set of recommendations to the G20 on consumer protection in financial services. Why? In 2010, we convinced G20 leaders to explore options for enhancing consumer protection in financial services and their report will be delivered to the next G20 summit in 2011.

WCRD provides a great opportunity for CI and its members to influence that process by highlighting consumers' concerns about financial services and urging both national governments and international organisations to take meanigful action.

See the Consumers for Fair Financial Services page for the full set of recommendations.
