Description
La Ligue pour la Défense du Consommateur au Benin (LDCB) is a not-for-profit organisation created in 1998. It aims to establish a market that works better for consumers and is socially fairer. LDCB sits on several national committees and educates consumers as well as raises their awareness through lobbying and advocacy as well as campaigns in areas such as food security, telecommunications and the public services. In recent years, the organisation has carried out several comparative studies about the quality and the cost of services provided by telecommunications companies. It implements some market surveillance activities and has made the fight against GMOs one of its main priorities.
