Description
The Association for the Defence of Consumers and the Environment (ADEC in French) was formed in 1991 and received the status of legal association in 1994. It has a membership of 2,500 individual members. ADEC is a not-for-profit organisation, which aims to disseminate and implement the UN guidelines for Consumer Protection. Consumer education and information are its two main activities.
