Antonino Serra Cambaceres
Antonino is leading Consumer International’s Programme on Consumer Justice and Protection, promoting advocacy and campaign initiatives to enhance consumers' legal and social rights. He also works on international trade issues and trade agreements.
He was responsible for getting Consumer International's voice heard in the revision process of the UN Guidelines for Consumer Protection.
He also co-ordinated the Euro-Latin American Dialogue on Consumer Protection, as well as projects on consumer protection development in the English-speaking Caribbean, financial services standards and the information society.
Prior to joining Consumers International he was legal co-ordinator at ADELCO – Argentina’s oldest consumer organisation and our member – and led the creation of Argentina’s Consumer Arbitration System. He was a professor at the University of Buenos Aires, and also taught in Chile, Brazil and Canada.
