FACUA calls on Spanish consumers to elect the most
irresponsible business of 2010
FACUA is allowing Spanish consumers to choose the 'Worst
company of the year'. This title will go to the company that has
developed the most irresponsible, abusive and fraudulent activities
to enrich itself at the expense of infringing upon consumer
rights.
FACUA-Consumers in Action has opened the process for the selection
of nominees to the worst company, the worst business practice and
the worst commercial in the last twelve months.
With this initiative, FACUA seeks to highlight the serious abuses
occurring without respect for consumer rights in the market.
Instead it hopes to promote more responsible practices in the
relationship between companies, consumers and the organisations
representing their interest.
Vote online
Consumers can cast their vote online (in Spanish only) at http://www.facua.org/lapeorempresa
The nominees list of five candidates will be made public in late
February. Following that, consumers will be able to vote through
the website above.
The winners will be announced on World
Consumer Rights Day (WCRD) on 15 March 2010.

irresponsible behaviour by some of the world's leading brands,
drawing attention to notable consumer rights issues over the past
12 months.
To mark CI's action around
the crucial climate change talks in Copenhagen, the 2009 Awards
focused entirely on corporate greenwashing.
