Let's act now to get AI right for consumers

Last year, breakthroughs in generative AI took the digital world by storm. Its adoption by consumers has grown rapidly, and the technology is set to have an enormous impact, in the way we work, create, communicate, gather information and much more.

On World Consumer Rights Day - 15 March 2024 - we will lead a global conversation on Fair and responsible AI for consumers. Our campaign will bring the consumer movement together with industry and government leaders. We will dive into the use of generative AI chatbots deployed in internet ‘search’, and the opportunities and risks for consumers.

Today, we launch a global campaign for transparent digital finance for consumers. This has begun with an alliance of 25+ digital finance experts (and counting), who call for urgent action to improve consumer understanding and trust in digital finance services through greater transparency.
